The Learning First NY team is committed to providing individualized support to students beginning in Pre-K, all the way through the high school years. Our sessions help students improve academically, while also considering social-emotional needs to provide students with strategies to express their emotions in a safe way. The goal of being a collaborative problem solver with others in their family life and school life is the focus. Each team member is in constant communication with the parent(s)/guardian(s) of each student. This partnership is unique in that each family knows they can personally reach out to any member of our team, at any point in time, for strategies or support to best meet their child's learning and social-emotional growth goals at home. Our ultimate purpose is to provide each student with the skills to build their confidence academically, socially, and emotionally, to allow each student to thrive in their school life and home life.
We recognized that neurodiverse students are often not best supported in many institutions. While many educators and other school professionals may be well-intentioned, student needs are not being addressed to meet or exceed individualized goals, which is not frequently or consistently taking place. The lack of individualized support provided to allow a student to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally is a challenge many families face. With the above in mind, we were inspired to develop Learning First NY to provide personalized, one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's unique needs. Our empathy and expertise have allowed us to create a business focused on empowering neurodiverse children. Our goal is to ensure every child has the resources, guidance, and encouragement to flourish during their educational journey, and beyond into their adult life. If your child struggles to stay focused or feels lost and confused at school, the Learning First NY team is ready to partner with you and your child to address these challenges.
